Hurriyat (G) slams obscene BSNL SMSsTaking strong notice of the obscene and dirty SMSs continuously sent to the subscribers, Hurriyat Conference (G) has warned government telecom company BSNL to stop such messages failing which it would appeal people to boycott its services.
In a statement, Hurriyat Conference (G) said that Jammu & Kashmir has rich cultural and moral values.
“Government institutions under the agenda of cultural aggression want to eliminate these values of the state on different fronts,” it said in the statement.
Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that people who are using the BSNL services are regularly and continuously receiving obscene messages in which some selected telephone numbers and names of girls with their age are given.
“The subscribers are asked to call on these numbers and talk with the given names who are waiting for them and on the other side the girls have been employed for this purpose who can talk any kind of language.”
Hurriyat (G) spokesman said that BSNL is a government institution such ‘shameful’ activities are not only done in the pursuit of earning money but with an agenda to destroy the moral character of the teenagers and youths of Kashmir.
Hurriyat Conference (G) said it strongly condemns such obscenity actions of the BSNL telecom company.
“We want to send a message to the organization that if BSNL doesn’t stop sending these messages, we will be forced to appeal for boycott of the services of this company to the people.”
Spokesman said that Hurriyat Conference (G) does not believe in force or might but the actions or the elements which are against the moral values of a human being should not be thrusted upon them.
“We are duty bound to highlight those issues which are harmful for the nation and the society.”
